Noriko Thunman

Noriko ThunmanNoriko Thunman is Professor Emerita in the Department of Languages and Literatures, University of Gothenburg. Her main research field is modern Japanese literature, especially text analysis. She has also worked in the fields of comparative literature, translation studies, and the writing of literary history and canon formation. She participated in the symposium ‘Selma Lagerlöf Seen from Abroad’, hosted in Stockholm in 1997 by the Selma Lagerlöf Society and the Swedish Royal Academy of Letters, History and Antiquities, and presented a paper entitled ‘Selma Lagerlöf i Japan’ (‘Selma Lagerlöf in Japan’).
